okay what the fuck, that is so awful. why not say ALL PEOPLE OF COLOR WELCOME, EVEN ASIANS AND MEXICANS??

bad taste in my mouth.

well when i first heard of the southern GIRL'S convention, i thought it was only for women. i think that it should be stated that it's not an exclusive event. an event open to trannies and radical men, unlike the MWMF. so that everyone knows, all are welcome.

i didnt write the flyer and i'm sure the woman who wrote the flyer didnt mean to offend anyone.

i'm sure she didnt either, but saying it is ALL INCLUSIVE and not exclusive to women only is good enough. some people don't id as trans, radical men, or women. so its already a problematic term.
the thing is though, a woman can be a tranny and a tranny can be a woman. it sounds like they're viewing trannies as this "third gender" instead of transsexual/transgender men and women. i think it's really important that the SGC be trans-inclusive, and if it wasn't i would throw a total temper tantrum. i think it's just a language thing and it could offend people.
saying "all inclusive" rather than singling out trans people would be a munch better and less offencive wording there
